Privacy Policy

Illustrative preview

This is a general-purpose privacy policy template describing how ServiceConnect handles data. It is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed against your specific legal and regulatory obligations before publishing.

1. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, business name and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) when you register.

Business data you enter: customers, services, quotations, invoices, payments and any other content you add to your workspace.

Usage data: log data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security, debugging and improving the product.

2. How we use information

To provide and operate the service — generating documents, processing payments through our payment provider, and sending transactional emails such as password resets and invitations.

To secure your workspace — detecting suspicious activity and enforcing the role-based permissions you configure.

To communicate with you — service notices, and, only if you opt in, product updates through our newsletter. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers necessary to operate ServiceConnect — for example, our payment processor, to complete a transaction you initiate — and only to the extent required to provide the service.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ServiceConnect, our users, or the public.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. Generated PDF documents (quotations, invoices, receipts) are produced on demand and are not stored on our servers after being sent to you.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page.

6. Security

Passwords are never stored in plain text and are never visible to anyone, including administrators within your own workspace. Password resets are always completed via a secure, time-limited link sent to your email.

Payments are verified server-side through our payment provider before any balance is updated in your workspace.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through our Contact page.
